We are looking for engagement in the material as well as critical thinking. Class sources are required for full credit and do not need to be listed in “References Cited” – just list them in your essay, for instance: “The main tenant of the Kelp Highway hypothesis relates to… (Erlandson et al. 2007)”. You do not have to use outside sources, but if you do, they must be academic and be sure to list them in a References Cited section at the end of your essay (wikipedia is not considered an academic source).

1) What is NAGPRA and how does it relate to archaeology? Who is “Kennewick Man,” and when/where was he found? How did this finding change the way archaeology is practiced?
