    • What were the conclusions of the study?
    • What were the recommendations for future research?
  2. Be sure to address the following:

  • In your post include:
    • The name and author of the theory;
    • Description of the theory including definitions of the concepts/variables.
    • Report briefly on the findings associated with the theory from your selected research study. Cite your sources including the journal article reporting the research you selected.
  • Include 1-2 key takeaway points from this assignment and how 1 of these will be integrated into your continued doctoral study efforts.

Part 7 300-400 words

Using the online library, read the following article:

Be sure to address the following:

  • The purpose statement should follow 1 of the template examples provided in your reading assignments.
  • Include both a description of your research problem or issue and the selected theoretical topic.
  • How could you apply Edmondson’s and McManus’ 3 archetypes of methodological to your proposed research purpose?
  • Explain your rationale, and cite sources as appropriate.

Part 8 300-400 words

What are some distinctions about research questions that guide quantitative research methods?

Focusing on your selected problem or issue and theoretical topic, propose a possible research question and a hypothesis that would require the capture of quantitative data.

Focus your discussion on the following:

  • What are some distinctions about research questions that guide quantitative research methods?
  • Suggest a single research question that you might consider for your own research.
  • Draft a single research hypothesis that you might consider for your own research.
    • Identify the independent and dependent variables in your hypothesis.
    • Is your hypothesis directional or nondirectional?

Part 9

External validity of a study is the extent to which a researcher can conclude that the results can be applied to a larger population or other organizational settings. How you assess the internal and external validity of any study must take into consideration its design. The criteria for assessing qualitative study methods are different from the criteria used to assess quantitative procedures.
